Victoria Iranzo (Spain, 1989) lives and works in Brussels, Belgium. She holds a Master’s Degree in Visual Arts from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp (Summa cum laude, 2016) and a Master’s Degree in Artistic Production from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (2013).

In 2020, she received the First Prize in the 35th BMW Painting Award and the Mario Antolín Grant for Pictorial Research. She was also awarded the Medal of Honour at the 29th edition of the BMW Painting Award in 2014.

Her work is held in the collections of BMW Ibérica, the Juan José Castellano Comenge Foundation, and the Newcastle Foundation, as well as in private collections in London, Rome, Berlin, Spain, Belgium, and Saudi Arabia.

Victoria Iranzo’s practice occupies the shifting threshold between what is seen and what is perceived, between the organic and the constructed, and between the natural and the artificial. Her works suggest a world in which perception is being rewritten, evoking the tension between the physical and the virtual, and between the real and the imagined.

Her images evoke the echo of nature in an age of simulation, inviting the viewer to remain between knowing and not knowing, to inhabit a space where recognition dissolves into wonder.

Iranzo’s paintings often evoke a sense of metamorphosis: figures appear suspended between states, organic elements merge into emotional landscapes, and the surface of the canvas becomes a space of quiet tension. There is a poetic ambiguity to her images—suggestive without being illustrative—that invites the viewer to pause and project their own interpretations. This openness is fundamental to her practice, in which painting is concerned less with representation than with perception, vulnerability, and transformation.
